You like decorating your home for Halloween, but you are out of fresh ideas and the paper pumpkins on the windows are getting a bit old? Don’t worry, we have some fun new suggestions on how to make your home spooky and stunning for the upcoming holiday.
Cobwebs
A classic touch to add to your Halloween spirit, not to mention the only time of the year, in which you are excused for having the all around. They come prepackaged and are available at low prices at practically every party store. Place them in corners, on bookshelves, on windows and a few on the trees in front of your house.
Ghosts
What’s a Halloween celebration without a few ghosts! All the home decor stores know this and finding a grand variety of ghost decorations is going to be a piece of cake. Place the in front of windows or, if you are not keen on spending too much money on decor, use a couple of tissues to tape up around the house as little ghosts.
The Stuffed Scarecrow
Now here’s something quite effective and not that popular. The autumn leaves come in handy when you stuff them in a bunch of old clothes and in a paper bag, which you tie at the base. Place a mask over it to play the scarecrow’s face and sit the dummy in a porch chair in your living room or even on the front lawn ( as a surprise for the trick-or-treaters ).
Lights
Certainly a wonderful addition to the Halloween decoration. Hang some orange lights around the perimeters of the main rooms in you home. You can also use them to decorate trees, bushes or the outside of your house to make it more attractive to trick-or-treaters.
Painted Windows
Now here’s something for the whole family. By using washable paint and your imagination, you can turn your windows in a real Halloween-themed mural. The great thing is that the whole family can take part by unleashing their creativity and it will be especially fun for the children.
Whichever decorations you choose and think of, remember – Halloween decorating is about having fun and not about competing with your neighbors.
