Christmas

Christmas is a very special event and people from all over the world celebrate it with religion enthusiasm. It is one of the most awaited events in a year. People enjoy Christmas a lot. There are many traditions attached with Christmas which are special, and the Christmas gifts are one of the traditions which people enjoy a lot. Getting gifts on Christmas event is something everyone enjoys. This is the reason that nowadays you find lots of companies producing ready made gift items on Christmas to be bought and presented to the people you care about. It was some forty years ago and many Christmas earlier where our Church minister was invited by parents to celebrate Christmas with all of us. Church minister brought a friend along with him as he had promised to spend that day with him as well. This friend of the church minister was released recently from a prison of minimum security. As he was accompanying our church minister, we had complete trust and did not pose a threat to our family. Paul was the name and perhaps you are wondering how I retained the name for so long years.

Crazy clock was the gift that year for our Christmas and this game was expected to be constructed slowly. It’s a three dimensional game board of Rube Goldberg wackiness and it is played with one card at one point in time. Paul sat with us in the dinner table and started to put the game together. Paul not only kept us occupied but also helped us with the very important project on the Christmas day. Paul indeed game the complete family a very good gift that Christmas and cannot forget it for ever. If we look in return, Paul’s visit totally personified the generosity values of social justice filled with hospitality which is exactly what my parents were trying to impart towards their children,

There is another gift that I will cherish for ever. I was very excited to stay at one place long enough to celebrate Christmas as we moved very frequently. There was a talk about Gift exchange by our teachers we were scared as for the winter, we did not have much of money. We decided to go for the party anyway and we noticed everyone exchanging the gifts. Slowly our teacher called us to her desk and we noticed two presents wrapped and lay in front of her. She politely informed us that those were meant for us and we were totally surprised to hear and we slowly opened to notice two new jeans of blue color.

Although you get Christmas gifts on every Christmas but some of those are carefully picked by your friends or by your family members. These are the gifts which you can never forget. Similarly, if you have been presented by a Christmas gift which you direly wanted, you will not be able to forget it. Every gift presented to you with love and care touches your heart.
